For each upgrade a special upgrade patch is created that only contains the changed and new files.

 For instance your first installation contains 5 Mb, your second installation has one changed file of 0.2 Mb, and one new file of 0.2 Mb. With the Release Manager you automatically create a patch package of 0.4Mb. This comes together with a small script of only a few kb to install the patch.
